About Us... Kathleen Cantwell A certified hypnotist and astrologer, Kathleen has a combined practice, Change For The Better, in Clarendon Hills, Ill., and is available for consultation in either hypnosis or astrology or a combination of both. Her goal is to help people make changes more easily and realize their goals—to make the most of their lives and the present.
Kathleen was introduced to both hypnosis and astrology in the late 1970s and has been involved in both on one level or another ever since. She was first exposed to the power of hypnosis and of the potential of the human mind through the Silva Mind Method. She considers that experience a pivotal one in her life and, since then, has studied a variety of techniques for harnessing the power of the mind. The culmination of that was her formal study of hypnosis and certification.
She is also a well-known speaker in the astrological community in the Chicago area and was, in the past, in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut tri-state area as well. During the years she lived in upstate New York, she wrote a popular weekly non-sunsign astrology column, “Stars Above,” for the local newspaper and had a weekly cable-TV show, “Astrology Update.” She has lectured in the Chicago area as well as in the tri-state New York area, including New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut, and appeared on astrology TV shows in New York City and Connecticut. In addition to doing individual consultation, she specializes in astrology as it affects and manifests in societal issues, trends and events.
